“I had the privilege to meet a true and honest professional on Friday September 2 2016. After the thieves from another company told me I needed roughly $4500 to fix my heater and I should look to replace it. I called Davis and made an appointment for Mr. Reese to give me an estimate on a new heater. Mr. Reese looked at the heater and said he did not see any problems and recommended I spend $88 to have a service man double check his thoughts. He also gave me price to replace the heater and a/c unit that was $1000.00 more than the other company wanted to “FIX” the heater. I wish I had only dealt with Davis from day one.”

“I received nothing but outstanding service from the gentleman that fixed my heater. During the big snowstorm I was trying to get the snow off my heat pump. I must have torn a wire from the bottom which automatically caused a fuse to blow triggering not just my heat pump but the heater to shut down. Thus, I had no heat, including the emergency backup. I was desperate to get this fixed as soon as possible and called many other heating and cooling companies the next day. All said due to their work load they were unable to come out for at least a couple of days. That is with the exception of Davis, who understood my dilemma and said that they would do their best to come out sometime during the day, if not later on. Actually I was quite surprised to see Davis’s truck pull up after 6 that evening because I was sure it was hard for them to come out at all due to so many calls they must have had that day. As I opened the door I was thinking I was going to get charged a large bill because of being in the evening and on the weekend. I was quite surprised when I was only charged $59 for the service call! The service technician was nothing more than courteous to me as he was getting my system up and running. My little dog kept going over to the technician. I didn’t want her bothering him so I called for to her to get away. I was surprised when he said it was OK and picked her up and kissed her on the head. I am sure that wasn’t part of the service. LOL

If you are interested in having great repair work done or any job pertaining to installation at an unbelievable price by a skilled technician, I highly recommend Davis! They are now my new heating/cooling service company!

“I would give more than five stars if I could! Our heat wasn’t working when we got home last night (a Sunday) and we started making phone calls to find after hour service when we stumbled upon Davis. John was at our house within an hour to fix the problem. He only charged us the regular $59 service fee and even threw in a new air filter for us. It was a very simple fix, but most companies would charge an arm and a leg to come out at 10 o’clock on a Sunday. He even took a look at our humidifier which isn’t working and said it could be fixed, when another hvac company said it needed to be replaced for $600. John was one of the nicest guys we have ever met and he deserves a raise! We will definitely be calling Davis in the near future for a tune up and will use them to replace our cooling system which is due to be replaced soon. It’s hard to find a service company you can trust not to rip you off these days, but Davis earned our trust in one quick visit. Thank you!!!!. Thanks again.”

Best HVAC Company in the area!! Davis Modern is a wonderful company. They came out Monday to give us an estimate and today is Friday and the job is done well, at a very fair price, by true professionals. The gentleman who gave us the estimate was honest, completely clear on exactly what the cost was for the unit, the labor and the permits. And he showed us units that were reasonable in price with better warranties than any other brand. What really impressed me was the pride every person we dealt with took in where they work. The owner called to schedule our install and he, the technicians and Jim who gave the estimate all said they want to have our business for life and they will stand by their work.

We found out our Central Air Unit was leaking coolant and needed to be replaced. Never a fun surprise. The company we have had service our units for years came out and the technician added coolant and said he would have the Sales Dept. call to schedule a time to come out and get an estimate. We were happy with Oliver for years but sadly they lost our business. Their sales person was clearly interested in selling us the Cadillac of units with an estimate of over 14k as we had to replace the AC and gas furnace that were almost 18 years old. He never even showed us anything but the Lennox line which we found out is double other lesser comparable units. We even had to ask him to write out his estimate as he planned to leave us brochures to look over with no prices. Though he pressured us to act quickly or the rebates would end. We paid less than half his estimate without any rebates. And through this process we found out we have been paying more than hundreds of dollars a year for our maintenance contract when every other company charges around 100 dollars a year.
Stay away from the guys in the Orange trucks and be careful. Davis was clearly the best company after we did our homework realizing we could easily be fooled.”

“I would trust no one but Davis Modern Heating and Cooling for service on my equipment. Had a large HVAC company (with the orange trucks) come out. They visually inspected my heater and told it was unsafe. They pushed to sell me a new furnace at the cost of $8000.00. With that said, I called a smaller local company. They had no test equipment to confirm the first company’s findings. (but charged me anyway). I have a neighbor that highly recommended Davis. Techs name was Stu. He hooked up his computerized equipment and explained all readings-including efficiency, draft and co readings. He reassured us that there were no issues, and our heater was safe to operate. For the safety of my family-only Davis services my heater and air conditioner.
